I have never seen anything like an Instructional Article/Video for the Interpreting profession, is this legit and how did you come up with this idea?
CEUs on the Go! is definitely legit. We are listed in the RID database as a CMP Sponsor. We have developed a system for interpreters to earn CEUs little by little.We realize that time is precious and interpreters really don’t want to spend 12 hours of their weekends in a classroom or training. By taking this different approach to continuing education, we allow the interpreter to learn and grow while still being able to have a normal life. Through surveys and conversations with our colleagues, we realized that 2 hours here and 2 hours there is much more doable than larger chunks. Yes, we are the first company out there to implement this type of system. We are proud of our ideas and our integrity.
What are Instructional Articles/Videos?
Instructional Articles/Videos are online, on-demand activities that can be done from the comfort of your own home or during a break between assignments.
Most of our articles take about an hour or two to complete. You read the article, answer comprehension questions and complete a post-test. You are done!
I just finished an activity, where is my Certificate of Completion?
After completing the Post-Test, your Certificate of Completion is automatically generated. This can also be found in your account by clicking, “My Account”. Please feel free to print or save this page for your records.
Are you an approved RID CMP Sponsor?
Yes, we are. CEUs on the GO is an approved RID CMP Sponsor for continuing education activities. All of our activities are pre-approved for RID CEUs.
Do you report to RID for me? If so, how long will it take for the CEUs to show up on my RID transcript?
CEUs on the Go! will take care of that for you. We process our Instructional Articles/Videos monthly. For example, if you complete an article/video in the month of February your CEUs will be sent to RID the first part of March.
However, if you need proof of completion before your CEUs hit your transcript, you can always use your Certificate of Completion as appropriate documentation. This is the beauty of our program; professional development participation is your responsibility, processing the information is ours.
I have materials from another company; can you process those CEUs for me?
NO! CEUs on the Go! is not at liberty to process CEUs for any other company’s distance education materials who also offer CEU processing. Just as CEUs on the Go! has sole rights to our material, other companies have the sole rights to their material.
I have a Mac! Can I access your products?
Sure you can! All of our activities are web-based!
I have an iPad! Can I access your products?
Most of them… In order to access some of the Archived Webinars and Podcasts, you will need to download an additional browser that supports Flash on your iPad. Some examples are Puffin and Photon. These can be purchased through the App store.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Oh, the vast options….
What is your refund policy?
Our activities do not expire, they will remain available in your account until you complete the activity. However, should you need to exchange an activity or request a refund, please email us and we will be happy to process your request.
How long do I have to complete an activity I purchased?
As long as you like. The activity will lock after successfully completing the post-test. Once the post-test is completed and the activity is locked, you will not be able to access the activity again. However, your Certificate of Completion will remain in your account.

Our activities are designed for sign language interpreters and interpreting students of all levels.

I need a specific number of hours to satisfy my licensure requirement. How do hours equate to CEUs?
Since we are RID CMP Sponsors, we calculate activities in CEUs, not hours. However, the calculation is simple. If you see an activity worth 0.1 CEUs, that equates to 1 hour. Similarly, if an activity is worth 0.2 CEUs, that equates to 2 hours. Here is a break down:

I am BEI certified. Are you an approved BEI sponsor and will your CEUs count for my BEI?
We are an RID Approved CMP Sponsor. Many states accept RID CEUs to satisfy their CEU requirements. However, you should check with BEI to make sure they will accept RID approved CEUs. Our Certificates of Completion have the RID logos on them.
I am not RID Certified, but I have state licensure continuing education requirements. Will your CEUs count towards my state licensure renewal?
