This workshop will focus on explaining each piece of the jury process from empaneling to jury instructions, to discharging. The presentation will focus on understanding the goals of a juror and the important features of a trial that interpreters must be knowledgeable of to ensure an effective interpretation.

Educational Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to discuss the history of the jury process.
2. Participants will be able to demonstrate their understanding of  jury instructions through hands on practice.
3. Participants will be able to explain peremptory and discretionary strikes.
