CEUs: 0.1 PS
Presenter: Roberto Santiago
Presented in: Written English
Format: Instructional Article
As Interpreters, we know there is a distinct difference between ASL and English. While we are taught there is a difference, it is a struggle to discuss the differences and similarities in terms that surpass “Topic, Comment” structure. This article discusses the differences and similarities of English and ASL with a focus on pronouns.
Educational Objectives:
- Participants will be able to identify the differences between the ASL and English symbols for time, place, and conditional events.
- Participants will be able to identify the basic pronoun categories and how ASL and English pronouns apply.
