Format: Multimedia Presentation

In this multimedia presentation, participants will learn to identify features of particular cultures. They will review some typical manners in which cultures differ before seeing how those variations tend to show up in cultural groups.  Participants will view videos, look at external links, and answer multiple-choice questions as they move through the presentation. At the end, participants will take a review quiz to ensure that they remember what they have learned. Along the way, participants will check their comprehension by answering multiple-choice questions. They will review their overall understanding with a final quiz.

1. Participants will be able to categorize cultures based on common cultural traits.
2. Participants will be able to define traits found in many cultural groups.
3. Participants will be able to give examples of the cultural characteristics of various groups.
4. Participants will be able to distinguish between generalizations and stereotypes.
