Yes, interpreters are very good at interpreting what one person says or signs to another, but how good are we at dealing with people, how well do we handle the customer service aspect of interpreting. This workshop will find out what type of Behavioral Style you possess and how that may positively or negatively affect the interpreting situation, the consumers involved and other interpreters you work with. This workshop will have participants self assess their strengths and weakness, see the need to take control of where they want to go, and how to be aware of new job markets emerging to us.

Educational Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to identify what Behavior Style they possess.
  2. Participants will be able to compare how different Behavior Styles affect the interpreting process and working with a team.
  3. Participants will be able to compare and identify our team and our stakeholders.
  4. Participants will be able to devise ways to manage their own career.
  5. Participants will be able to devise ways to use this information for better customer service.
