This two-hour introductory course will dive into the world of legal interpreting and assess, at a basic level, terminologies and concepts that often are mentioned in the course of this specialized field.

1. Participants will be able to reproduce possibilities of interpretations for a minimum of ten (10) legal terms.
2. Participants will be able to interpret a rendition of commonly used procedural litanies including the Miranda Warning, the guilty plea litany, and the witness’ oath.
3. Participants will  be able to demonstrate through discussion when and how to interrupt legal proceedings for clarification.
