Do you love theatre, are you a closet performer, would you like to be under the spotlight, but don’t know all that is involved? This workshop will look at working in the area of performing arts and analyze the aspects that do not tend to appear in any other setting. Participants will look at how to go from page to stage by how to work through a script, characterization, and
understanding the nuances of working through a play.
Participants will go from what is needed after accepting an assignment to interpret a play, through the process of analyzing and working the play, and finally to the actual performance of the play.
- Participants will be able to discuss the components of script analysis.
- Participants will be able to discuss how to enhance the translation regarding sign choices.
- Participants will be able to divide a list of characters and characterization for each interpreter.
- Participants will be able to list appropriate choices in the peripheral areas of performing arts, such as clothes, make-up and hair.
