If you are not sure, welcome to the workshop on numbers. This workshop will explore the many ways numbers are presented in ASL and how you can enhance clarity in your interpretations.
Working with numbers sometimes can be unclear. How to show approximation, or how to be specific in a way a scientific number is represented. Participants will explore up to 26 different ways ASL represents numbers in specific and general settings.
- Participants will be able to examine the work of how ASL incorporates movement and palm orientation in the presentation of numbers.
- Participants will be able to discuss how to discuss the basics of presenting numbers, including approximations and quantifiers.
- Participants will be able to distinguish the difference between numbers used in money and finances, time, age, sports, and scientific numbering when given a list.
