This course is only for those approved through the EIP Grant. Only those who have been approved for this course will be eligible to receive CEUs.
This workshop will assist individuals preparing to pass the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment. Participants will examine the EIPA process and its four domains, review study materials and practice with the EIPA prep DVDs. Prosody, fingerspelling and resources will be also be discussed. Individuals will develop concrete professional development and study plans to take the EIPA. There will be brief discussion on preparing for the written test as well.
Educational Objectives:
- Participants will be able to examine the EIPA process.
- Participants will be able to categorize and explain the 4 Domains of the EIPA.
- Participants will be able to distinguish the use and importance of fingerspelling.
- Participants will be able to identify concerns and fears about the EIPA.
- Participants will be able to devise professional development goals and a study plan.
CEUs on the GO is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for continuing education activities. This GS program is offered for 0.2 CEUs at the “Little/None” Content Knowledge Level.
