This course is only for those approved through the EIP Grant. Only those who have been approved for this course will be eligible to receive CEUs.

This course will expand your basic knowledge of legal language. The course will consist of two parts. The first hour will be a discussion of how legal language is different in ASL and in English. The second hour will employ some of those concepts in analysis of real legal texts.

Educational Objectives:
  1. Participants will be able to articulate how ASL and English deal with legal terminology.
  2. Participants will be able to describe and apply several tools for dealing with these linguistic differences in real-world situations.

CEUs on the GO is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for continuing education activities. This PS program is offered for 0.2 CEUs at the “Little/None” Content Knowledge Level.
