This workshop will focus on interpreting the Miranda Warning (also known as the Waiver of Rights). Participants will explore the origins of the waiver and learn how to process the source material and produce an accurate interpretation.
Educational Objectives:
- Participants will be able to identify the steps of analyzing a frozen text.
- Participants will be able to explain each right that is embedded in the Miranda Warning.
- Participants will be able to discuss the use of ASL Expansion features within an interpretation of the Miranda Warning.
