This workshop will focus on Deliberate Practice. The participants will take a hands-on approach by videoing their ASL/English product and counting errors with the intent to lower the amount of errors over a period of time. The workshop will show techniques to simplify Deliberate Practice that will allow for greater opportunity for improvement. Interpreters will be asked to bring a device that will allow them to video their own product and review the product in small groups. The goal is to learn techniques that participants can take with them and apply to their personal interpreting practice once they have completed the workshop.Identify areas of improvement needed in the ASL and English product.

Educational Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to identify areas of improvement needed in the ASL and English product.
2. Participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge of Deliberate Practice through discussion.
3. Participants will be able to apply techniques learned during the workshop by watching a  pre-recorded product and reviewing errors.
