Many of us see “Test” as a four-letter word we do not like to hear. We experience a fear when taking any interpreter screening test. Fears such as: do we have the knowledge needed, will we freeze up, or testing anxiety, to name a few. This workshop is for interpreters who are ready to take one of the many different tests available but are nervous about what to expect. The workshop will teach strategies interpreters can apply when taking written or practical tests. Interpreters will also to learn strategies to alleviate anxiety before they take a test.

Educational Objectives:

  1. Interpreters will demonstrate knowledge of testing strategies.
  2. Interpreters develop a plan to help eliminate their testing anxiety.
  3. Interpreters will demonstrate skills needed to take the current tests in the field.
