Format: Archived Webinar

This presentation will focus on the medical specialty of cardiology. When working within this setting, it is vital that interpreters understand and be familiar with the most common diagnoses and testing that occurs during cardiology appointments. In addition, it is critical to be able to visualize the cardiac system and the parts of the body that are impacted by these diagnoses and testing. In order to perform the most accurate interpretation, the interpreter must be comfortable with a variety of classifiers that can be used to describe and represent this system.

Educational Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to define common terms used in cardiology.
  2. Participants will be able to identify common diagnosis within cardiology.
  3. Participants will be able to give examples of classifiers that would be used in a cardiology setting.
  4. Participants will be able to describe common tests/assessments used in cardiology.
